Autonomous Customer Experience gains traction in Middle East

Autonomous driving digital signage kiosk systems are en vogue. At last year’s Gitex invidis discovered already a couple robots. WeRobots - a joint venture between an European engineering specialist and leisure & entertainment agency - assembles the robots in Germany. The experts record great interest in the GCC region.

WeRobots are autonomous kiosk systems on wheels featuring a 15.4” multi-touch display, video-conferencing, RFID and additional sensors. The robots are able to operate automatically with the help of 3D sensors. An integrated theft protection mechanism is supposed to prevent unwanted location changes.

A group of robots offer can act in groups and entertain people with eye-catching group performances. Used as Personal VIP Assistants, WeRobots accompany guests to their point of interests as they provide a VIP guide function. Last but not least WeRobots provide multimedia guidance, information and respond to customers’ questions.

Dubai’s leading property developer Emaar uses WeRobots in their customer center. The kiosks on wheels guide customers around the, provide queue management solutions and share location based information. In addition the robots have also been used in Emaar’s Dubai Mall interactively approaching and guiding visitors.

Beyond Dubai WeRobots will be deployed in the Information Technology & Communication Complex in Riyadh. The Virtuality Center gives visitors an understanding of the history of communication & information technology. The robots provide information, guide visitors through the exhibition and entertain visitors waiting in line for the main show.
