Coke Vending Machine Westfield Mall
Vending machines for soda or other beverages are omni-present in North America. Most of the vending machines are ruggedized and optimized for capacity. Coke has tested digital signage embedded machines since 2009.
The vending machines made by Royal Vendors have been developed by Coca-Cola, Samsung and marketing agency Sapient. The front is dominated by a 46” Samsung touch screen – the media player supports flash and offers Bluetooth for additional interactivity features.
The user interface is divided into three zones: video content on the top, product selection zone in the center and control zone on the bottom. Besides product information various seasonal promotion games are offered like, Memory Match or virtual ice scratching. In a new pilot installation Coke supports the American Red Cross by enabling the machines to accept donations.
