I can confirm today that TPV Technology Limited has completed an agreement in principle with Philips by which Philips will transfer its PC monitors and digital signage business, IT Displays, to TPV – the largest producer of PC monitors worldwide. Under the terms of this agreement, TPV will assume responsibility for sourcing, distribution, marketing and sales of all Philips’ IT Displays activities worldwide. Through a brand licensing agreement, TPV will be entitled to exclusive use of the Philips brand name for PC monitors worldwide, for which Philips will receive revenue-based royalty payments. This transaction does not affect other Philips display activities, including consumer television, institutional television or specialist monitor products supplied to the healthcare industry.
