2010 SIM Expo DooH Media Forum Abu Dhabi

This year’s SIM Expo took place November 28- 30 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center. Part of the agenda was again the dedicated DooH Media Forum organized by IIR Middle East. 50 delegates from across the Gulf Region and Africa attended the leading DooH event of the region.

Even delegate turn out could improve DooH Media Forum provided an important platform for the growing Digital Signage industry in the MENA region. Major presentation were delivered by regional market players and European industry experts.

The UAE as well as neighboring markets have managed to emerge from the financial downturn in 2009 are now back on a solid growth track. Especially markets in UAE, Qatar and Egypt are very dynamic and digital signage  projects show a promising development. In general the digital signage market in the Gulf Region still lags behind the markets in North America and to a lesser extend Europe. But market players belief that they can adopt much faster to new standards and start to close the gap in the foreseeable future.

Starting in January 2011 Invidis and OVAB Europe will focus on the Gulf Region with dedicated research and consulting offerings.
