Infogate Systems attracts crowds

The live video terminals from Munich Airport subsidiary Infogate were a crowd pleaser at this year’s Gitex. Infogate showcased the digital signage solution with local partner Emaratech in the e-government section of Gitex. More than a dozen of the live video terminals are operated at Munich airport.

Almost 40 million passenger pass through the German airport annually. And a distinct able part of them are not familiar with the layout of the terminals and amenities offered. The in-house developed totems are spread around the terminal offering one-touch connectivity to the airports call center / studio. Service Assistants are available 24/7 to answer calls in various languages. A unique offering which couldn’t be afforded if staffed by on-site personnel. Besides live-video the systems also offers way guiding, printing and additional services along the travel chain.

In additon to the fixed installed totems wheel based systems were showcased at Gitex. A new type of device which would supplement the location based terminals. (invidis report)
