Airport Oslo FIDS

The FIDS displays in the Oslo airport are completely digitized. Most displays are dated 40” NEC MultySync 4010 displays with very wide Bezl. Some displays have been replaced by new models, which can be seen by the much smaller Bezl and the higher brightness of the display. The displays are either mounted as three displays in landscape format next to each other head high in a special stand or as two displays in portrait format hanging from the ceiling. The technical integration is adequate, however the perforated metal sheet housing is esthetically not very pleasing. The screens only depict FIDS information and the content is very conservative and does not meet today’s standard for digital FIDS displays.
