Even in Corona times, planning for Integrated Systems Europe 2021 is in full swing. The organizers want to offer at the first ISE in Barcelona even more variety and, above all, a safe event. Following a summary of information reflecting the current planning status of the leading trade fair for the digital signage and AV industry.
After more than 10 years in Amsterdam, it’s time to say goodbye to the Netherlands – the AV and Digital Signage exhibition circus of Integrated Systems Europe ISE is moving to Spain. The goal of the organizers of Integrated Systems Events: to offer all visitors and exhibitors an unforgettable, but above all safe ISE 2021. The 17th edition of ISE is scheduled to take place from 1st to 4th June at the Fira de Barcelona, Gran Vía.
Visitors can expect many great things: the new exhibition area offers more than 55,000 square metres of exhibition space – an increase of 5 percent compared to the total area booked for the 2020 show. Around 850 of the world’s leading technology and solution providers have already committed to participate at ISE 2021. Exhibitors are spread across nine dedicated technology zones on the exhibition grounds, including some new additions:
- Audio
- Broadcast and Content-Creation (new)
- Digital Signage & DooH
- Education
- Live-Events (new)
- Residential AV
- Smart Building
- Unified Communications
- VR/AR/XR
The ultra-modern exhibition centre in Barcelona will be host of an ISE show in a new look. A new content partner is the strategic partnership with TNW. The Financial Times subsidiary will present „Growth Quarters“ in partnership with ISE. A four day technology event covering keynotes and presentations on all aspects of business growth and scale-up, presenting technology innovators and experts. TNW will also host the „Fast Lane“ program, where start-ups will present smart solutions for specific „pain points“ of the AV industry.
On-site and digital conference programme
EA five-day series of 14 conferences will be held parallel to the show, covering a wide range of topics including digital signage, design and construction, control rooms and XR. The extensive program has been developed in cooperation with ISE co-owners AVIXA and CEDIA. Both associations will also produce their own special training series and themed events.
The digital coverage of the ISE show will also be expanded to compensate current COVID19 global travel restrictions. There will be a wide range of cross-platform live content to help participants connect with the world’s leading technology innovators and hear thought leaders and experts.
COVID19 prevention plans in full swing
Fira Barcelona has developed extensive health and safety measurements to enable safe events starting in autumn. These are also intended to protect visitors and exhibitors at the ISE at the venue and prevent the spread of Covid-19. To this end, the Fira de Barcelona has entered into a partnership with the Clínic de Barcelona hospital, among others.
The new health and safety protocol includes:
■ Space management on the show floor
■ Regulation of visitor flows and numbers
■ Health checks
■ Disinfection and cleaning of common areas and stands
■ Health information
■ Specific registration systems
■ Organisation of the catering services
Within the framework of this partnership, the health sector is to advise the fair on an ongoing basis. All partners will also contiously review all security protocols, the structuring of control requirements and strategies for resuming exhibition activities at the venues. The Preventive Medicine and Epidemiology team, headed by Dr. Antoni Trilla, will be responsible for carrying out these tasks and for ratifying the results. He is also Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Barcelona and a member of the scientific Covid-19 committee, which advises the government on how to deal with the pandemic.
ISE, Fira Barcelona and the industry is doing everything possible to realize ISE 2021 as planned, hoping that the global pandemic allows a great ISE premiere in Barcelona in June 2021.
