Mermaid provides first Digital Signage Bus Project in Norway

Mermaid installs and operates the first digital signage project within the bus secto, outside of Denmark. During the first quarter of 2012 SAS Flybussen will renew the digital signage solution used in their buses travelling between Oslo Airport and Oslo city center.

Within recent years, Mermaid has become a key supplier of digital signage within the Danish transport sector. Several of the most prominent public transport companies signed new agreements in 2011. The companies include Arriva, Citytraffik, Nettbuss and Midttraffik.

Mermaid plans to gain a similar dominating market postion in Norway, Sweden and other selected markets beyond Denmark.

The agreement with SAS Flybussen went into effect  1st of Feburary 2012 and includes  all buses shuttleing betweeen Oslo Airport and Oslo city center. This new network of digital information screens consist of 28 displays. The screens will be used, by SAS Flybussen, for communicating news, commercials and relevant travel information.

Mermaid provides the underlying hardware and software. The agreement signed defines Mermaid as the integrator and operator of the platform.
