Spurred by a positive assessment of the current business situation the expectations of the Digital Signage industry in Germany, Austria and Switzerland turn out to be exclusively positive. To this conclusion comes the leading European business sentiment index the “Digital Signage Business Climate Index (DBCI)” issued by the industry association OVAB Europe.
The Index is polled every two months by invidis consulting. All companies within the Digital Signage value chain (e.g. display producers, integrators Digital out of Home network operators, software vendors etc.) are asked for their current business situation and their expectations for the next six months.
In spite of a slight recession in the economy in the German language region the status quo of the Digital Signage industry became noticeably better in the fourth quarter of 2012. Driven by a few large-scale rollouts and a strong growth in the sector of small and medium projects the positive effect is mirrored at the beginning of 2013. Thus 96% of all market participants evaluate their current business situation as positive.
The sentiment is only exceeded by the expectations for the next six months. Without exception all companies await a positive trend.

The DBCI comes to similar good results as other renowned sentiment indices like the DIHK-Konjunkturumfrage and the ifo-Business-Climate-Index.
