The future lies in fully integrated in-store media solutions i.e synchronized content management and play out of

  • Video (digital signage)
  • Audio (in-store radio)
  • Apps (mobile solutions)
  • in-store navigation solutions like ibeacon etc

OVAB Europe addresses the new holistic integrated solution approach and kicks off of dedicated PoS campaign in June 2014 with an OVAB Europe retail Audio Workshop.

  • The first workshop is open for the interested industry and will take place in Munich with focus on Audio Solutions and how to offer a holistic retail media experience.
  • A second workshop will be held at the OVAB conference in September in Munich highlighting new navigation and tracking solutions i.e. iBeacon at the PoS.

The OVAB initiative builds on frequent demand from within the industry and retail customers. Members like Moscow-based Digisky offers already for many years combined digital signage and instore-audio solutions. Many other market players like Mood Media, Echion or Barix (which just joined the Pan-European association) are very active in offering fully integrated in-store media solutions.

Also various digital signage software vendors like Scala or Grassfish are offering media agnostic content management. invidis supports the initiative with workshops, various events at the OVAB Munich Digital Signage Conference in September and many other activities.
