- Gitex Technology Week has come to an end and it was again the most important ITC exhibition for Middle East, Africa and the Indian Subcontinent. Digital Signage solutions played an important role at Infocomm MEA as well as on the Gitex show floor.
The major display vendors Samsung, LG and NEC presented their new professional displays product line up in Dubai. Supplemented by second tier vendors like Sharp, Mitsubishi and BenQ. Even digital signage product launches are usually rare at Gitex, the show becomes more important as displays are getting larger and are more difficult to present to integrators and customers outside of exhibitions.
Additional digital signage relevant vendors at Gitex were Aopen, Giata/Concept, Brightsign, NDS, Onelan, Matrox and Cayin. Gitex and Infocomm MEA are a great opportunity for vendors to get in touch with existing as well as new integrators from the region and Africa. Potential end-customers – especially marketing departments etc – are more difficult to find at Tech shows.
But Gitex and its co-located events is by far the leading tech event in the region and worthwhile visiting. Gitex 2015 will take play 18-22 October 2015.
