The telecommunication retailer KPN has similar to most other communication specialists a digital signage solution employed in its shops. This shop on the main Amsterdam shopping street Kalverstraat uses two different signage solutions. For telecommunication providers it is always difficult to exhibit their products, as a large percentage are service products that cannot be displayed as their physical counterparts. KPN has a combination of two small 20” and one 42” displays. The screens are mounted on a wall behind the service counter. The content is primary current offers and is designed according to the CI guidelines of the company.

The other digital signage installation is integrated directly into the three sample tables. Each table has two touch displays that can be used to browse the product catalogue. The products physical appearance on the table will also trigger a reaction on the screen when picked up. Overall the concept and the installations are very good integrated into the shop furnishing and design. Only the impact from outside of the store is low.
