The Side Step Store in the Amsterdam shopping street Kalvastraat employs a simple but very engaging Digital Signage concept. The shoe retailer is the Dutch brand of the German Runners Point company. Hence the digital Signage solution is exactly the same as in the german stores.
It consits of two different installations. One two-display totem in the shop window and another large format display behind the cashier. The technical integration is well done. Due to the layout of the window totem, its pretty easy to install - even for later upgrades. Instead of being directly integrated into the wall, the display in the cashier area is only mounted onto the wall. The look and feel is still quite professional and elegant though, due to ultrathin design of the LED-Backlight display.
