The football stadium which was opened in 1956, has already gone through some facelifts and conversions; the last time was in 2009 so the 30.000 visitors can even have more fun cheering for their team.
After the last conversion, 300 displays were available in total – 2013 there an extra 200.
Before the game, after the game – the visitors should experience audiovisual and multimedia services before the game, during the game and after the game.
Main elements are numerous screens for information and entertainment, a fast web communication via WiFi as well as live streams, video replays and more on the smartphone.
StadiumVision is responsible for the 500 different sized HD displays throughout the BayArena.
Fans are now able to be there live and can for example follow the game during waiting at the concession stand.
In addition there are current statistics, video messages, further information and for example interactive actions by advertisement partners of Bayer 04 Leverkusen.
The second mainstay in the new infrastructure is the WiFi network. 350 WiFi access points care for excellent network coverage throughout the BayArena. Through the stadium-wide WiFi network up to 20.000 visitors can quickly surf on the internet with virtually any mobile device, email or share photos and videos, promise the project partners.
