Top Tradeshow Offers Classes, Training and Integrated Digital Signage Solutions

FAIRFAX, VA – March 19, 2008 – Enterprise buyers and technology managers from top companies and government and educational institutions around the world will be attending Infocomm 08, the world’s largest professional audiovisual tradeshow, June 14-20 in Las Vegas, Nevada. With nearly half of all corporate AV budgets being spent on digital signage and videoconferencing, Infocomm allows attendees to see the largest integrated display of these technologies, plus access to invaluable classes and manufacturers training.
Digital signage has grown explosively over the past few years, with industry experts estimating a growth rate of 10 percent per month. “With more than one million digital signs expected to be found in North America by 2009, the financial services, government, education, retail, healthcare and transportation sectors are implementing digital signage to deliver information, live and on-demand video and more to key audiences,“ said Randal A. Lemke, Ph.D., Executive Director, Infocomm International. “Infocomm 08 is the ideal place to see digital signage solutions, take classes from industry experts and receive hands-on manufacturers training.”
Infocomm ’s Digital Signage Pavilion, sponsored by titanium sponsor: Sony, gold sponsors: Peerless Mounts and Wireless Ronin and silver sponsor: Broadsign, provides technology managers and integrators of digital signage technology an opportunity to see top companies presenting the latest in this rapidly expanding field. In addition to Infocomm’s Digital Signage Pavilion, Infocomm 08 offers the industry’s most comprehensive exhibition of displays, mounts, interfaces and distribution, audio and control systems from all of the top brands one would need to install complete digital signage systems.

Infocomm offers classes from top experts in the digital signage field. A four-hour workshop, Digital Signage Business Opportunities for AV Integrators, taught by Lyle Bunn, Mark Mayfield, and Mike White CTS, will offer project planning and technology integration advice, as opportunities and key supply issues will be addressed. Digital Signage – Content is King, taught by Scott Werlein, of Spinitar, provides guidelines for approaching a Digital Signage assessment, allowing attendees to leave with an understanding of what is “good design” and “poor design.” Best Practices for Digital Signage, taught by Jeff Porter of Scala, allows students to walk away with selection criteria for choosing signage software, how to select software that will meet your needs, and which features are a must for everyone.
For the first time, Infocomm is partnering with the Strategy Institute to offer a two-day Digital Signage Technology Summit. This new two-day, pre-show program will help attendees implement emergency, security, training and entertainment systems capabilities; determine the best technology applications for their needs; evaluate vendors and choose the right partners for success; deliver systems interoperability and scalability; and plan rollouts effectively, from pilot stage to implementation.
