Burger King

One of the oldest digital signage networks in Germany is the King-Channel. It is on the 4:3 displays or the CE LCD-devices for around 16 hours per day. 80 percent of it are music videos or editorials and advertisements for the target group, aged 14-29, which they appeal to. However innovative is done differently: The program keeps playing all the time doesn’t matter what is on the main thing is that there is some music in the background and some pictures on the screen. Probably that’s the reason why all of the screens where switched off when we visited the restaurant. The only display that was turned on was the professional one on the menu-board which shows the current Burger King offers. Although Burger King was one of the first fast-food restaurants using digital signage above the cash desk to show the menu it is not up to date nowadays.
